Which hotel in Taiwan was 'Lucy' filmed at?
Last time we saw Lucy she went god-tier but not before leaving something for keeps, literally.
The opening scenes to the 2014 blockbuster by Luc Besson were filmed on location in Taiwan, you may have gleaned as much from those shots of the iconic Taipei 101 in the trailer.
We are introduced to the titular heroine (no pun intended), played by jill of all trades Scarlett Johansson, at a hotel in the Taiwanese capital. That hotel is none other than the Regent Taipei.

Opened in 1990, the 21-storey hotel offers 538 rooms of five-star awesomeness: the kind of place Hollywood would imagine a cashed-up triad boss to be lodged.

Regent Taipei boasts a retail galleria housing eight in-house restaurants, serving Chinese and western fare, as well as luxury stores from Hermes and Cartier to Christian Dior. (Louis Vuitton fronts the main lobby.) You can see a glimpse of the Regent Galleria behind the crime mob as they march toward Lucy.
Regent Taipei itself is set in a fashionable part of Taipei, surrounded by high-end stores to sate all your whims. If you're using 100 percent of your brain though, you'd be above all that.
